Bald Eagles Pair….Photo taken at 1/2000ths at f5 and IS0 125. Leica V-Lux 114.
Image almost full-frame, I-Zoom at the full 800mm extension.
The Blue Angels flight demonstration team…..first practice of the year for 2019 at Naval Air Station Pensacola. Photo taken using the electronic shutter at
1/10,000 at f4, ISO 160 with the expanded central focusing square. This birds-and-planes-in-flight mode is my C-1, customized mode. The image occupied about 25% of the frame which shows you can crop in to an image on a 1-inch sensor at low ISO’s if necessary.
Seagull in flight…..this is the first time I tried expanding the center focusing square in my C-1 mode which is always set to the electronic shutter. Photo taken at ISO 160, at 1/5,000 at f4. Given some mid-afternoon light the Leica V-Lux 114 did a good job of picking this seagull out of the background waves as well as a small flock of fast moving shore birds that skimmed across the water in front of me traveling very fast. I’d estimate the lens was well into the I-Zoom digital range but pulled back slightly to about the 700mm equivalent FL
Anola Sunning itself….These little lizards are very common around Pensacola, Florida. Photo was made in the main PASM side of the mode dial, this one in Program mode, at ISO 125, with a shutter speed of 1/2000th at f4 with TTL flash set to slightly more than 1-stop underexposed. With both of my 114’s I always employ the mechanical shutter on the PASM side of the mode dial.
